Job Description

The Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions requiring continuous monitoring. The RN will work within a float pool environment, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams during night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to MedSurg and Telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Perform patient assessments and document care accurately
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Float to assigned units as needed based on staffing requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license in good standing
• Recent MedSurg and Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification required (additional certifications preferred)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Additional Information

• No on-call required
• Floating is required as part of the nursing float pool
• Schedule requests and time-off must be submitted in advance
