Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) – Gastroenterology

🌟 About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead and support a high-performing gastroenterology practice. This role blends clinical excellence, team leadership, and operational oversight, making it ideal for an RN ready to step into (or continue growing in) a supervisory capacity.

You will play a key role in ensuring safe, high-quality patient care, supporting staff development, maintaining regulatory readiness, and fostering a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

 

🩺 Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Patient Care

  • Provide and oversee evidence-based nursing care using the full nursing process.
  • Promote relationship-based, patient-centered care across diverse populations.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for staff and providers.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership & Staff Development

  • Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and clinical support staff.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing competency validation.
  • Lead daily staffing, scheduling, and clinical workflow coordination.
  • Serve as a preceptor and mentor to nurses and unlicensed staff.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Lead back-office clinical quality initiatives and survey readiness efforts.
  • Support regulatory compliance, accreditation standards, and risk management.
  • May serve as a Practice Safety Coach.
  • Participate in clinical audits and site assessments.

Operations & Practice Support

  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels and clinical supply par levels.
  • Partner with leadership on operational efficiency and service excellence.
  • Act as liaison for EHR training and clinical informatics needs.
  • Participate in clinical champion forums and lead implementation of best practices.

🎓 Education & Licensure

Required:

  • Associate Degree, Nursing Diploma, or higher
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (GA or Multi-State Compact)
  • BLS Certification (AHA or ARC)

Preferred / As Applicable:

  • ACLS and/or PALS (based on practice needs)

🧠 Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years RN experience required
    OR
  • 1 year RN or LPN experience plus 2+ years in a physician practice setting (LPN/CMA)
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Gastroenterology or specialty practice experience preferred
