🌟 About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and clinically strong Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Med-Surg Oncology team on a part-time, day-shift schedule. This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality oncology and medical-surgical care while building meaningful connections with patients and families.
As a frontline caregiver, you’ll collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, coordinated, and patient-centered care across the continuum.
🩺 What You’ll Do
Patient Care & Coordination
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions and responses to treatment.
- Implement and adapt individualized care plans using sound clinical judgment.
- Coordinate daily patient flow to optimize safety, outcomes, and experience.
- Deliver care in alignment with clinical policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and education.
Patient Advocacy & Experience
- Act as a trusted advocate for patients and families.
- Provide education and emotional support throughout the care journey.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team members.
- Support a patient- and family-centered care approach that enhances satisfaction.
Quality & Performance Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and patient outcomes.
- Contribute ideas and support initiatives focused on quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Participate in shared governance, councils, or sponsored improvement activities.
Professional Growth & Leadership
- Maintain active licensure and required certifications.
- Complete ongoing education and competency requirements.
- Mentor or precept fellow nurses when appropriate.
- Promote professionalism, accountability, and collaboration within the team.
🎓 Education & Licensure
Required:
- Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Degree in Nursing
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Single State or Multi-State Compact)
- BLS Certification (AHA or Instructor)
