We’re seeking an experienced Outpatient Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-performing ambulatory surgical team. As an Outpatient OR RN, you’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical care—while enjoying a strong work-life balance.
🩺 What You’ll Do
Clinical Excellence & Patient Care
- Perform the full nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence-based practice.
- Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care tailored to individual patient needs.
- Serve as a patient advocate throughout the surgical experience, ensuring comfort, education, and informed decision-making.
Teamwork & Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and team-oriented clinical environment.
- Support efficient patient flow and timely documentation to ensure smooth daily operations.
Quality, Safety & Outcomes
- Practice according to current clinical standards with a strong focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and shared governance activities.
- Uphold regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards.
Professional Growth
- Complete all required competencies, mandatory education, and population-specific training.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor to new staff or students as needed.
- Engage in evidence-based practice, research, and quality improvement activities.
Resources & Care Planning
- Proactively plan care across the perioperative continuum.
- Assist in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and best practices.
- Support efficient use of equipment, supplies, and staffing resources.
🎓 Education & Licensure
Required:
- Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Licensure & Certifications (Required upon hire):
- Active RN License (Single State or Multi-State Compact)
- BLS Certification (AHA, Red Cross, or Instructor)
💼 Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room circulating experience (required)
- Outpatient OR or ambulatory surgery experience preferred
