Description

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a SMH Allied Sterile Processing Tech - Evenings to work at a Facility in Rochester, NY. These are registry positions with our company.

This is a travel position located in Rochester, NY and they need to be over 50+ miles away to qualify for this role.

Duties:

Clean, decontaminate, and disinfect surgical instruments and equipment.
Inspect instruments for damage or wear.
Assemble and package instrument trays according to surgical needs.
Operate sterilization equipment (steam, low-temp, etc.).
Monitor sterilizer cycles and maintain accurate documentation.
Restock and organize sterile storage areas.
Deliver sterile trays and supplies to surgical and clinical areas.
Follow strict infection-control and safety protocols.
Track and manage instrument inventory and missing items.
Communicate effectively with OR staff regarding needs or shortages.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the department.

Qualifications: Minimum one year (12 months) of experience as a Sterile Processing Tech A valid and current license issued by the state of NY A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association) Proficiency in the English language is necessary for communication with other staff and patients.
