MRI Technologist

Department Details

Equipment: GE 3T and GE 1.5T MRI scanners
Radiation Badge: Provided by client
Rooms/Scanners:
MRI: 2 rooms
CT: 4 rooms
X-ray: 3 rooms (plus Endo, OR, and portables)
Nuclear Medicine: 2 rooms + PET
Ultrasound: 3 rooms
Interventional Radiology: 2 rooms
Mammography: 3 rooms

Certifications & Requirements

Required: ARRT, BLS
MR Certification: Contract MRI Techs must be MR certified/credentialed
Preferred Skills: XR and/or CT experience in addition to MR
Driver’s License: Required at submittal (used to verify candidate is outside 50-mile radius)
Radius Rule:
Candidates must live outside 50 miles

Scheduling & Coverage

Shift: Varied; supervisor will create schedule
Weekend Requirements: Varied
Holiday Requirements: Yes
Call/Standby: Required; response time varies
Orientation: 1–2 shifts
Float Coverage: May be required to cover CT, XR, OR, Endo, and ED
