Travel Pay (away 50 miles):
Hourly: $44/hr (W2) + $1,246 (Non Taxable Stipend)
Gross: $2,830/weekly

Job description:
Provide comprehensive nursing care for obstetric patients across labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum. Support an OB/LDRP unit averaging 80–90 deliveries per month, working alongside experienced RNs and new graduates. Responsibilities include electronic fetal monitoring, assisting with vaginal and C-section deliveries, maternal and newborn care, patient education, and documentation. Unit features LDR rooms, postpartum rooms, ORs for C-sections, and a special care nursery. Traveler support is essential to maintain safe patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases
• Perform continuous electronic fetal monitoring and interpret fetal heart rate patterns
• Assist with vaginal and Caesarean deliveries, including perioperative and recovery care
• Monitor maternal and newborn status, identifying and responding to complications
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and facility protocols
• Educate patients and families on labor processes, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatric teams, and support staff
• Support and mentor newer graduate RNs as needed to ensure safe and effective patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license of NY
• 3+ years of OB/L&D or LDRP experience required
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (IFM) certification (AWHONN preferred)
• BLS required
• NRP preferred (or willingness to obtain)
