Responsibilities: <ul><li>Performs all aspects of respiratory care to include diagnostic test of the cardio-pulmonary system</li><li>performs quality control on all respiratory care equipment to include I-STAT blood gas analyzers</li><li>Provides respiratory care to patients. </li><li>Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. </li><li>Other related duties as assigned.</li></ul>Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care given to inpatients and outpatients to patients of all age populations at the facility requiring respiratory therapy services.  Required:<ul><li>Education: <ul><li>Graduate of Accredited and Approved Respiratory Care Technician or Therapist program</li><li>Associate degree required.   </li></ul></li><li>Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:  <ul><li>Current Respiratory Therapy Licensure through South Carolina Medical Examiner’s office. </li><li>CRTT required (Verified by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC). </li><li>American Heart Association BLS CPR required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire. </li><li>American Heart Association PALS and ACLS certifications required within orientation period. </li><li>NRP certification required for NICU trained therapists</li></ul></li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Experience: 2 to 5 years of job-related experience preferred.</li><li>Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: RRT preferred  (Verified by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)</li></ul>
