Description
Minimum Experience REQUIRED: 2 years of strong Cardiac/Tele exp, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
Patient Population: High acuity Tele/M/S, Cardiac heavy, (Afib with RVR, Afib, flutter, blocks), heart cath without interventions. CHF, COPD, sepsis, BH/CIWA, post ablations, dialysis.
Skillset: Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (TRAVELERS ARE REQUIRED TO PASS TELE TESTS), Initiate/titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, Heparin, etc.). PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, stables drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), antidysrhythmic (cardizem, tikosyn dosing, amio), nephrostomy tubes.
Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills! Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates.
Unit Information: 32 beds. Ratio: Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:5-7; CN rarely takes patients on days, but takes an assignment on NOC shift.
Unit Strengths: Excellent retention and experience on unit. Manager has been over the unit for 15+ years and has built a strong team! Seeking contracts due to upcoming FMLA for multiple staff.
