Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: Newark, NY 14513
Duration: 13-week contract with possibility of extension
Tentative Start Date: 01/12/2026
Schedule: Day Shift 5x8-Hour (08:00 AM - 04:30 PM), Monday - Friday
Weekly Pay Estimate: $3006.00 per week ($1760.00 Taxable + $1246.00 Non-taxable/Stipend)
 

What You'll Do:

• Perform high-quality MRI exams using GE equipment and PACS
• Handle comprehensive imaging including Head/Neck (Brain, MRA/MRV, Orbits), Spine (Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar), Chest, Abdomen/Pelvis, and MSK
• Administer contrast media and perform peripheral IV starts
• Conduct special imaging procedures such as Diffusion, Perfusion, and Gradient Echo Imaging
• Provide care for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Document patient care and imaging accurately in Epic EHR
• Maintain radiation safety and isolation precautions
• Collaborate with the Radiology and Cardiology teams in a community hospital setting

Requirements:

• Active NY State Radiology License required (Must be in hand at time of application)
• ARRT (R) Certification required
• AHA BLS Certification required
• 1+ year of MRI Technologist experience
• Epic Charting experience is required
• Proficiency in starting peripheral IVs and administering contrast
• First-time travelers welcome

Preferred:

• ARRT (MR) Certification preferred
• Experience with GE MRI scanners
• Previous experience in a Community Hospital or Trauma Level I/II setting
• Experience with MRA, MRV, and MRCP procedures
