🏥 Job Overview

We’re hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology Rad Tech to support a Neuro Interventional Radiology (Neuro IR) service line. This is a great opportunity for techs with neurosurgery / neuroscience experience who want consistent shifts, strong support, and exposure to a highly specialized IR environment.

💡 Facility is open to IR techs from other modalities — they typically provide up to 6 months of training for Neuro IR.

🕒 Schedule & Call

• Shifts: 5×8s (with flexibility to negotiate up to 4×10s)
• NO rotating shifts
• Call: 2–3 call shifts per month
• Holidays: At least 1 holiday assignment required

🛠️ Primary Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiologic imaging with proper positioning and exposure selection
• Assist Radiologists during interventional and fluoroscopic procedures
• Prepare and educate patients prior to exams and procedures
• Administer oral contrast when required
• Operate X-ray, CR, and DR systems proficiently
• Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort at all times
• Document procedures using HIS, RIS, and PACS
• Maintain equipment functionality and report malfunctions promptly
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth workflow

✅ Requirements

• ARRT (Required)
• Active NY State Rad Tech License (Required)
• BLS – American Heart Association ONLY
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Neurosurgery / Neuroscience experience (Required)

⭐ Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Vascular & Interventional Radiology (VIR) experience
