Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)

Schedule:

• Night Shift
• 12-hour shifts: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Weekends: 4 weekends per schedule required
• No on-call requirements

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Rehabilitation unit. This is a travel contract position supporting patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery in an inpatient rehab setting. The LPN will work collaboratively with RNs, therapists, and support staff to provide high-quality patient-centered care.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to rehabilitation patients under the supervision of an RN
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Perform wound care, incision dressing changes, and basic skin assessments
• Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and use of equipment (Hoyers, wheelchairs, walkers)
• Perform Foley catheter placement and assist with blood transfusions as needed
• Provide tracheostomy care, suctioning, and respiratory treatments per protocol
• Accurately document patient care in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with therapy teams (PT/OT/ST) to support patient rehabilitation goals
• Maintain patient safety, infection control standards, and unit policies
