Description
- Provide rapid, high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with acute, urgent, and life-threatening conditions.
- Perform quick triage assessments, prioritize care based on acuity, and initiate emergency interventions.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency treatments as ordered.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses, escalating care as needed.
- Assist with trauma care, procedures, and resuscitation efforts following ED protocols.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, paramedics, and interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Document assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, discharge instructions, and follow-up care when appropriate.
Must have 1 year of ED experience.
Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
