Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Adult) – New YorkPosition: RN – Adult Emergency Room Location: Rochester, NY Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM Weekend Requirement: Every other weekendCharting: EPIC experience required <h3>Required Experience:</h3><ul><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in adult emergency care</li><li>BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required</li><li>Preferred: PALS, TNCC</li></ul><h3>Clinical Skills:</h3><ul><li>IV therapy (blood products, central line care, phlebotomy, IV starts/maintenance, IV vasopressors)</li><li>CPAP/BiPAP; ventilator management</li><li>Care for CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI</li><li>Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management</li><li>Emergency care: adult/pediatric ED, gunshot wounds, orthopedic trauma</li><li>Isolation precautions, triage, pediatric spinal cord injury</li></ul><h3>Unit Details / Floating:</h3><ul><li>Patient Ratios: 1:5 (Adults, Geriatrics; all emergency-type diagnoses)</li><li>Special Equipment: Bair Hugger, rapid infuser, safe patient handling equipment</li><li>Floating: Required within skillset</li><li>Scrub Color: Navy blue and white (any combination)  </li></ul>
