Description

Provide perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, sterile equipment, and necessary supplies according to the type of surgery.
Verify patient identity, allergies, surgical consent, and preoperative preparation before procedures.
Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during operations by anticipating needs, managing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
Monitor and document vital signs, anesthesia response, and overall patient status throughout the procedure.
Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques, infection control protocols, and safety standards.
Provide postoperative care, including patient assessment, pain management, and wound observation in the recovery area (PACU).
Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare staff to ensure coordinated and efficient care.
Handle and document all surgical specimens accurately for laboratory processing.
Participate in ongoing education, training, and quality improvement initiatives to stay current with surgical best practices and technologies.

Must have 3+ years of experience as an OR RN Must have RN License of CO State Or Compact Must have BLS, ACLS - AHA
