Position: Ultrasound Technologist

Facility: Memorial Hospital of Carbondale (MHC)
Client: Southern Illinois Health
Location: 405 W. Jackson St., Carbondale, IL 62901
Start Date: 01/19/2026
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule:
- Herrin Location:
  - Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  - Monday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- MHC Location:
  - Tuesday: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  - Thursday: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  - Friday: 12:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Hours: 4 shifts (8 hours) + 1 shift (9 hours)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
On-Call: Yes
- Every third Monday night (9:30 PM – 6:00 AM)
EMR: EPIC
Parking: Free (parking garage)
Scrubs: Any color

Job Responsibilities

Perform general, abdominal, OB, vascular, and small parts ultrasound exams
Conduct vascular ultrasound studies in compliance with facility standards
Ensure accurate patient positioning, safety, and comfort during procedures
Document exams and findings accurately in EPIC
Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure high-quality imaging
Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled
Maintain compliance with departmental policies and accreditation standards

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience
Certifications:
- ARDMS (RVT) – REQUIRED (Vascular Certification)
- RRT
License: Active state license (if applicable)
Skills:
- Strong vascular ultrasound competency
- Experience with OB imaging
- EPIC documentation experience
Other:
- Ability to commit to a 13-week contract
- On-call availability as outlined
