Description
- Evaluate pediatric patients’ respiratory status, including vital signs, blood gases, and ventilatory needs.
- Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans in collaboration with physicians and nurses.
- Initiate, monitor, and manage mechanical ventilation for neonates, infants, and children.
- Assist in airway management including intubation support, tracheostomy care, and suctioning.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases, pulse oximetry, and pulmonary function tests (age-appropriate).
- Assist in emergency situations including resuscitation, code blue, and rapid response events.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR (Epic or facility-specific systems).
Must have IL State License of RRT
Must have BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP
Peds Experience Highly Preferred
