Unit Notes – Med Tele RN Driver’s License: Required for submission to be considered Submission Requirements (MUST) EPIC experience required Preferred: Travel experience Illinois RN license must be in hand Local Candidate Guidelines Local placements accepted if candidate lives within 20 miles of the facility Local adjusted bill rate: Base rate – $7 Local adjusted OT rate: Base rate – $7 + $10 Radius Rule: Any clinician with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility will be offered a rate $7.00 less than the base rate Hiring Process Facility requires a clinical prescreen If recommended, hiring manager has 24 hours to accept or decline No second interview will be conducted Department Details Unit: Med Tele RN Number of Beds: 31 Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5–6 Certifications BLS required Patient Population / Common Diagnoses CHF Stroke Chest pain Diabetes Mellitus Pneumonia COPD Detox Underlying cardiac conditions Cath lab recoveries Required Experience Radial band and femoral cath recoveries Drips RNs required to titrate drips: No Common drips (titrated or set rate): Lasix Heparin Bumex Protonix Octreotide Telemetry RNs read telemetry Centralized tele tech available for monitoring support Staffing & Support Charge Nurse: Day shift: Team Lead (does not take patients) Nights/weekends/holidays: Charge nurse takes patients Nurse Aides: Yes, ratio 1:10–12 RT/Equipment: CPAP/BiPAP (intermittent use only) Scheduling Shifts: 12-hour shifts (5:00–5:00) Scheduling managed by Team Lead Requests accommodated when possible based on staffing If starting mid-schedule, shifts will be filled as needed Weekend Requirement: Every other Holiday Requirement: Every other Call/Standby: None Floating Medical floors / step-down units Tele-level patients only Additional Info Scrub Color: Caribbean blue Unit Orientation: 1 × 12-hour shift
