Job Description

• Minimum Experience: 1 year; first-timers accepted
• Patient Population: Adolescents to Geriatrics
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
  • NIH Stroke Certification
  • State License Verification (if applicable)
  • NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam

Work Environment

• Unit Type: Medical Surgical Unit with remote telemetry
• Ratio/Census: 1:6; 38 bed unit with an average daily census of 33
• Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Scheduling

• RTO (Requested Time Off): Maximum of 7 days
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Floating: Yes
• Call Requirements: None
• Holidays: Expected to work major holidays if they fall within the assignment period.

Compliance and Documentation

• Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; delays may push back start date by 2 weeks.
• Background Check: Required within 30 days of start.
• Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen required within 30 days of start.
• Health Documents:

  • Flu vaccine or declination required.
  • COVID vaccine or declination required.
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray required.
  • Hepatitis B documentation required.
