Job Description

Seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join their Central Sterile Processing Department supporting the Operating Room. This is a high-volume, Level I trauma-style environment covering a wide range of surgical services. First-time travelers are welcome.

The facility utilizes EPIC charting and SQ Track for instrument tracking. This is a fast-paced department handling approximately 60–70 cases per day, including DaVinci and Mako robotics.

Duties

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments
• Operate washers, steam sterilizers, and low-temperature sterilization systems
• Monitor sterilization cycles and biological/chemical indicators
• Maintain accurate documentation and tracking records (SQ Track)
• Store and distribute sterile instruments and supplies
• Ensure compliance with infection control and regulatory standards
• Float throughout the SPD department as needed

Education / Certifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Required Certifications:
  • CRCST (HSPA) or CBSPD

  • BLS (AHA or ARC)
