Description
Interim Director of Nursing (DON) — Skilled Nursing Facility
We are seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing to support a 130 bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Lynchburg, VA. This is a leadership assignment focused on quality of care, staffing oversight, and regulatory compliance.
Assignment Details
- Location: Lynchburg, VA
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Length: 6 weeks to start
- Setting: Skilled Nursing / Long Term Care
- Census: Approximately 130 beds
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of nursing operations and clinical care delivery
- Lead and support nursing staff, scheduling, and staffing plans
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in surveys, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
- Support resident care standards and clinical outcomes
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Prior DON or ADON leadership experience in a SNF/LTC setting
- Strong regulatory and survey knowledge
- Ability to manage staffing, workflow, and clinical priorities
Compensation
- $2,600 weekly
- OT must be approved prior to exceeding 40 hours
