Description
Mental Health Counselor
Location: Washington State
Department: Mental Health
Employment Type: Full-Time (Non-Exempt)
About the Role
We are seeking a Mental Health Counselor to provide quality clinical services to individuals, families, and groups. This role involves conducting evaluations, delivering therapy, and supporting clients in achieving personal goals while ensuring compliance with safety and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling sessions
- Conduct evaluations using standardized tools and clinical interviews
- Develop treatment plans and monitor progress
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with agency, state, and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with radiologists, healthcare providers, and community partners
- Uphold HIPAA and privacy standards
- Participate in trainings, meetings, and continuing education
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychology
- Professional license in Washington State (LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW)
- Previous experience required
- Knowledge of addiction, ASAM criteria, and rehabilitative processes
- Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills
- BLS/CPR certification preferred
