Position: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Role Overview: Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures under physician supervision for patients across the age continuum using ultrasound technology to assist in medical diagnosis. Equipment/Systems: Philips Ultrasound EPIC EMR Experience & Education: Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience Pediatrics/neonates experience preferred Philips & recent EPIC experience preferred Certifications Required: ARDMS–RDMS (AB) & (OB-GYN) BLS (AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network) Neonatal neurosonography or pediatric sonography certification preferred Skills Required: Strong communication, critical thinking, confidentiality, independent workflow, prioritization, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Scheduling & Call: Rotating schedule, 36 hours/week Call: Every 5th weekend + one weekday evening Clinician always works with support Floating: Floats between 4 campuses: West, East, Radiology Plaza, April Sampson Cancer Center (South) Department Details: 2 ultrasound rooms per location ~10 cases/day (varies by site) Orientation: Training with department coordinator 12 hours non-billable orientation (guaranteed hours do not apply) Dress Code: Light blue scrubs Important Notes: No local candidates accepted (50-mile radius restriction) Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation Client may call off up to 48 hours per 13 weeks Rotating schedule details provided in posting
