Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • Weekend Hours: Every Other / As Needed

  • Patient Population: Childbearing-aged women and newborns
  • Unit Beds: 4 Labor rooms, 4 Postpartum rooms
  • Patient Ratios:
    • Labor/Delivery/Postpartum: 2-1:1 LDRP
    • Postpartum: 3 couplets:1

Required Qualifications

  • Licensure: Registered Nurse license valid in New Mexico
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS
    • AWHONN
    • BLS
    • HWC
    • NRP
  • Years of Experience in Specialty: Minimum 2 years
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Additional Requirements & Notes

  • Must have previous Labor & Delivery/Postpartum experience
  • Must be patient experience focused, team-oriented, and eager to learn
  • Certification and licensure required to work as a Labor & Delivery nurse in New Mexico
  • All clinical staff must be fingerprinted before hire and provide documentation that the check is being processed; a 14-day waiver with supervision is allowed while waiting on results
  • No casual wear allowed; scrub color is not specified
