Description
Minimum Experience REQUIRED: 2 years as RN, one full year ortho/neuro/trauma, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
Patient Population: Trauma, Ortho (broken hip/femur), Neuro (scheduled neck and back, spine/rib fx).
Skillset:
REQUIRED: Strong neuro assessment, log rolling patients, applying assistice devices (back brace, immobilizer), Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (travelers are required to pass a tele test **STEPDOWN EXP ONLY), PIV insertion.
PREFERRED: Chest tube/indwelling drain management, drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), epidural management, PEGs/NGs, Bucks traction, pin site care, On-Q management, CIWA/BH, wounds (packing, wound vacs). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills! Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates
