Position Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care services to patients as ordered by a licensed provider. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy treatments and interventions per provider orders
• Monitor, assess, and document patient responses to therapy
• Utilize electronic systems including Epic, Pyxis, and internal network applications
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and interdisciplinary care teams

Mandatory Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential — required
  • CRT candidates will not be considered
• Active Ohio Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association only

Required Prior to Start

• Ohio RCP license
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• BLS (AHA only)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend throughout the shift
• May be required to stand or sit for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Normal vision and hearing (with or without correction)
• Manual dexterity to operate medical and office equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively via face-to-face interaction, phone, and email
• Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, and cleaning chemicals may occur
