Position Overview

A Hospital in Nantucket, MA is seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospital Pharmacist for a 13-week long-term assignment. This role is critical in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to the Nantucket community. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient distribution of medications while collaborating with the healthcare team in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Schedule & Shift Details

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts.
Hours: Typically scheduled between 07:00 – 17:00 (Common shifts: 07:00–15:30, 07:30–16:00, or 08:30–17:00).
On-Call: Required on an alternating basis for weekends and holidays, with occasional weeknight on-call responsibilities.

Compensation & Benefits

Key Responsibilities

Review and process medication orders accurately within the hospital pharmacy system.
Monitor patient drug therapy and provide clinical consultations to medical staff.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice.
Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 pharmaceutical coverage for the facility.
Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Education: PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Active Massachusetts Pharmacy License (Required).
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience.
Skills: Strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a rural hospital setting.
