- Must have hands-on experience with TrueBeam Linear Accelerators
Required Qualifications
• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiation Therapy program
• ARRT – Radiation Therapy certification required
• Active Massachusetts Radiation Therapy license required
• AHA BLS (current)
• Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience
• IMRT and IGRT experience required
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate web-based applications
Key Responsibilities
• Administer radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely per physician prescription
• Perform daily equipment maintenance and quality assurance checks
• Educate patients and families to support treatment compliance
• Monitor patients’ physical and physiological responses and escalate concerns as needed
• Position, immobilize, and align patients according to treatment plans; troubleshoot setup issues
• Maintain detailed treatment logs and daily treatment records
• Collaborate with Level II Radiation Therapists to resolve clinical issues
• Utilize quality assurance programs to ensure treatment accuracy and patient safety
• Adapt to workload and scheduling changes as required
• Assess and provide age-appropriate patient care per departmental policies
