Job Summary

Woodhull Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse – Nurse Educator to support the Nursing Inservice Education department during a current educator's FMLA leave. This role focuses on providing clinical education, supporting staff development, and ensuring high-quality nursing practices across units.

Job Duties

Provide nursing education, in-service training, and clinical support to staff
Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs
Support onboarding and orientation for new nursing staff
Maintain compliance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures
Collaborate with leadership to identify and address staff educational needs

Required Skills & Experience

2 years of Med/Surg RN experience
Strong, solid clinical background
2 years of Labor & Delivery experience (required per schedule notes)

Preferred Experience

Master’s degree in Education (strongly preferred)

Previous Nurse Educator or Nursing Education experience (preferred but not required)

Required Licensure & Certifications

Active New York State RN License

Primary Source Verification of RN License through NYSED

AHA BLS

This is a 13-week, non-extending assignment Reason for need: Current Nurse Educator is on FMLA leave
