Beds: 12 (single & double occupancy) Patient Types: Medical, transitional (swing bed) Common Diagnoses: Pneumonia, COVID, long-term antibiotics, endocarditis, comfort care, alcohol withdrawal, hyponatremia, CHF, COPD, Afib Patient Ratios (acuity dependent): RN/LPN: 1:5–6 Experience & Requirements: RN: BLS, ACLS; 1-year experience accepted; Telemetry, IV skills, central line management, cardiac drips with titration, high-flow O₂, nebulizer treatments, ability to mix meds via video conference with pharmacy LPN: BLS; IV start/management, nebulizer treatments First-Time Travelers: Accepted Traveler Eligibility: Must live >100 miles from facility; permanent staff must wait 1 year before returning as traveler Unit Support Staff: CNA: 1 per shift Wound Care RN: M/W/F Phlebotomy: Yes Other: Charge nurse N/A, IV/VAT team N/A, Resource nurse N/A, RT N/A, Hospitalist N/A Charting / Equipment: EPIC Floating: RN: Help in ER as needed (helping hands only) LPN: May float as 2nd nurse to ED if needed Orientation: Typically 2×12-hour shifts (dependent on experience) Scheduling & Call: Weekend rotation: Every other weekend Call: During Sturgis Motorcycle Rally (1 shift required) Holiday: Every other holiday Time-off approval: Discussed during interview Additional Info: Scrub Color: Navy Blue Free Parking: Yes
