36 or 48hr option and 13 or 26 week contract option!
Observation Unit - The Observation Unit provides care to patients who require evaluation and treatment for a period of time between 8 and 48 hours. Some conditions that may require observation include chest pain, asthma, abdominal pain, kidney stones, and minor infections. IV antibiotics, fluids, Insulin drips, Nitro for Blood Pressure, TP and Lipids.
Ratios are 1:5 days/1:6 nights. Depending on staffing, night ratios can be 1:7 (this is rare, but facility wants travelers to be aware).
BLS required
ACLS preferred
2 years of prior experience required (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital)
Drips are required on all floors
EPIC charting experience required
First timers NOT accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level l Academic Medical Center)
Will float within scope to meet facility needs (this includes potentially floating to Bellevue campus). Units may include, but are not limited to 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, SOTU.
In addition to CNAs, care teams include care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics. LPNs are assigned on some, but not all, floors.
