Travel Pay Rate: (above 75 miles)

• Travel pay: $34 W2 + $1190 Stipend

Job Summary: 

The Registered Nurse (RN) on the Medical-Surgical unit provides high-quality patient-centered care to a diverse adult population in a fast-paced, 42-bed unit. This position is a night shift role (3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30) and utilizes a team nursing model designed to support safe, efficient patient care.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Primary Clinical Responsibility: The RN is responsible for comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, and clinical decision-making for up to 6 patients on night shift within a 42-bed medical-surgical unit.
• Team-Based Care Coordination: The RN works within a team nursing model alongside patient care technicians, a nurse navigator, and a medication nurse to ensure safe, efficient care, including admissions, discharges, and ongoing patient needs.
• Flexible Staffing & Coverage Expectations: The role requires adaptability to floating, working every other weekend, and covering at least 50% of holidays, while maintaining consistent attendance on assigned night shifts throughout the contract.

Requirements

• Years of experience Required: At least a year of experience as an RN Medsurg.
• Certification Required: BLS and ACLS(preferred).
• Active RN license
