Travel RN – Behavioral Health

Location: Elk City, OK
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 36/48 hours (3 shifts one week, 4 shifts the next)
Weekly Pay: $1,966

Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment on the night shift. This position follows a block schedule and requires consistent weekend coverage.

Schedule Requirements

Night shift: 7p–7a (shift report at 6:45 AM)
Block schedule
Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Every other Thursday
Typically 3 shifts one week / 4 shifts the next
- Overtime shift may be covered by PRN staff when available

Responsibilities

Provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to behavioral health patients
Perform patient assessments and monitor mental health status
Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
Implement and evaluate individualized care plans
Maintain patient safety, including de-escalation techniques
Accurately document care and patient progress
Collaborate with interdisciplinary behavioral health teams
Follow all safety, regulatory, and facility policies

Requirements

Active RN license
Recent Behavioral Health nursing experience
Ability to work night shifts and rotating schedules
Strong assessment, communication, and crisis management skills
