Description

This position cares for patients before, during and after angiography and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. This position cares for Structural heart, Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic / planned intervention Neuro, Vascular and EP pacemaker / device patients. This includes pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of procedural process, post-procedure care and patient education.Responsibilities(35%) *Performs nursing care of the cardiac catheterization, Structural heart, Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic / planned intervention Neuro, Vascular and EP pacemaker / device patients.(35%) *Calculates cardiac output, performs hemodynamic monitoring,Procedural set up and operates lifesaving equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella, etc. Transfers patients, stocks supplies and performs basic office procedures. Scrubbing cases.(15%) *Records all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets.(15%) *Assists Radiologic Technologists circulate cases, sterically drop procedural supplies on tray. Submission requirements: This position is listed as Cath Lab, but the expectation is that they would also be helping to cover and provide nursing support to our IR procedures and pre/post procedure care.Cath Lab Experience - [
