Stepdown / PCU RN – Night 3×12-Hour (19:00–07:30) – Quick Overview
Contract: 13 weeks | Auto-offer
Experience: 2+ years PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown required
Trauma/Facility: Level II trauma center required; Level I / Teaching Hospital experience highly preferred
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Weekends: Every other weekend
Floating: As required
Requirements: Strong LVAD experience, titration of insulin and cardiac drips
Patient Ratio: ~1:4 (Stepdown; may vary by acuity)
Patient Population / Diagnoses:
Transplant Patients: Heart, Lung, Kidney
Cardiac: Heart failure, hypertension, rhythm issues, LVAD patients
Pulmonary: Pulmonary hypertension (including IV prostacyclin), trach/vented with multi-organ issues
Neurologic Disorders: Frequent neuro assessments, suctioning, turning:
Stable/acute stroke
Traumatic brain injury
Intracranial hemorrhage
Lumbar drain, cervical spinal cord injury
Chronic neuromuscular disorders
Peri-operative neurosurgical patients
Other: Drug ingestion/overdose, ostomy care, pain management
Note: All RTO must be denoted upon submission.
