Description

Contract Logistics

Location: Rochester, NY.
Duration: 13-week contract starting January 26, 2026.
Shift: Mid-shifts, working four 10-hour days from 13:00 to 23:30.
Call Requirements: On-call is required for this position.
Scrubs: The facility provides and requires Teal scrubs.

Experience & Eligibility

Clinical Experience: You must have at least 3 years of experience in the Operating Room.
Travel History: This facility requires previous travel experience; they are not currently accepting first-time travelers.
Residency: You must live more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler.
Technology: Proficiency in Epic is highly preferred for charting.
Certifications: BLS is required; CNOR is a preferred plus.

Clinical Expectations

This is a high-acuity, diverse unit. You will be expected to be proficient in:

Core Specialties: Ortho (total joints and trauma), Neurology (including spinal fusions and craniotomies), and Thoracic (VATS).
Robotics: Experience with the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System is a specific requirement for this role.
General/Vascular: Proficiency in Whipple procedures, Mastectomies, and AAA/Carotid repairs.

Unit Support

Unity Hospital offers a robust support system for their OR nurses, including dedicated IV teams, Rapid Response, Respiratory Services, and a full suite of interdisciplinary teams (Radiology, Pharmacy, and Social Services) to assist with patient care flow.
