Description
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced CVOR CST with strong cardiac and/or vascular scrub experience to support a high-acuity surgical program. This role prioritizes cardiac surgery and cardiac transplant cases and requires immediate proficiency in complex cardiovascular procedures.
Schedule
- 4×10s
- Primary: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
- Wednesdays: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Rotates to 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Weekends: 1 weekend per month
- Orientation: Weekly (Mondays, barring holidays)
Call Requirements (MANDATORY)
- Weekend CVI Call: Friday 7:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
- 30-minute response time
- Short CVI Call:
- 1× weekly 2-hour shift (5:15–7:15 PM or Wed 6:00–8:00 PM)
- Overnight CVI Call:
- 1 night/week (7:00 or 7:30 PM – 6:45/7:00 AM)
- Holidays: May be required while on contract
Required Experience
- 2+ years CVOR / related surgical tech experience
- MUST scrub cardiac and/or vascular cases
- MUST have valve replacement experience
- Experience with:
- Cardiac surgery & cardiac transplant
- Open vascular & endovascular surgery
- Thoracic surgery & thoracic robotics
- General surgery
Certifications & Licensure
- NBSTSA Certification – REQUIRED
- BLS (AHA) – Required
Skills & Competencies
- Scrubbing high-acuity cardiovascular procedures
- Familiarity with OR instrumentation & sterile technique
- Basic computer and web-based application navigation
