Job Details

Position: Registered Nurse – CVOR
Facility: Vanderbilt University Medical Center (Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital)
Client: Vanderbilt University Medical System
Unit: OR Float Pool (CC02588)
Full Location: 1211 Medical Center Drive, Nashville, TN 37232, United States
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: February 9, 2026
End Date: May 9, 2026
Schedule: 12-Hour Day Shifts
Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Hours: 36 hours per week
Call Requirement: Required (rotated fairly with staff)

Requirements

Active RN license
Minimum 2 years of CVOR OR experience (required)
Ability to scrub and circulate cardiac surgeries
Experience with open heart, transplant, and trauma cases
Prior travel experience required
BLS certification (required)
Must be able to take call
COVID-19 vaccination required (complete series or approved exemption by start date — no exceptions)

Facility & Case Mix

1000+ bed Level 1 Trauma Center
56-bed OR (inpatient & outpatient) plus 5 procedural rooms
Case types include: cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (heart, lung, liver, renal, pancreas), neuro, trauma, general, ortho, robotics, hybrid rooms, burn, hepatic-biliary
Adult patient population only (Children’s Hospital OR is separate)
