Job Description:
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D RN)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to women throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The L&D RN plays a vital role in ensuring safe childbirth experiences while delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients and assist during vaginal and cesarean deliveries
Perform obstetric triage, fetal monitoring, and non-stress tests (NSTs)
Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognizing and responding to complications promptly
Administer medications, IV therapies, and pain management interventions per protocol
Serve as support nurse during deliveries and assist with emergency situations
Educate patients and families on labor progression, delivery, and immediate postpartum care
Collaborate closely with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Requirements:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum experience in Labor & Delivery required
Labor-trained with demonstrated competency in fetal monitoring
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate or above)
