We are seeking a highly organized and patient-focused Remote Registered Nurse (RN) to support clinical care delivery in a fully remote, non-traditional nursing environment. This role is ideal for an RN who excels in telephonic triage, virtual patient engagement, education, and follow-up care, while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and service excellence.
Although this position is fully remote, the RN’s responsibilities are considered a direct extension of clinical practice and carry full accountability for timely, appropriate patient care.

🩺 Role Overview
The Remote RN functions under the direction of nursing leadership and provides safe, timely, and patient-centered care through virtual platforms. Responsibilities include patient assessment and triage, hospital follow-up, pre- and post-procedure education, test result communication, and preventive care outreach.
This role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and comfort working independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Remote Clinical Care & Triage
- Perform patient assessments and triage using evidence-based protocols
- Conduct initial and follow-up evaluations via phone or secure messaging
- Determine severity of symptoms and escalate care appropriately
- Refer patients to in-person, virtual, urgent, or emergency care when indicated
Patient Education & Follow-Up
- Provide pre- and post-procedure/surgery education and instructions
- Conduct hospital and post-discharge follow-up calls
- Assess recovery progress and reinforce discharge plans
- Educate patients on preventive care, screenings, vaccines, and lifestyle interventions
Care Coordination & Communication
- Collect, review, and update patient health histories
- Communicate test results and provider messages in a timely manner
- Use the electronic health record to document care and guide decision-making
- Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and care teams
Teamwork & Collaboration
- Coordinate and document safe, high-quality remote patient care
- Maintain consistent communication with providers and care teams
- Participate in team meetings, workflow reviews, and quality discussions
- Support onboarding and mentoring of new remote nursing team members
Professional Development & Leadership
- Complete all required competencies, education, and training
- Identify opportunities to improve remote care workflows and patient engagement
- Participate in committees, workgroups, and shared decision-making
- Actively reflect on performance and pursue ongoing professional growth
🎓 Education
- Required: Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
📜 Licensure & Certifications
(Required upon hire unless otherwise stated)
- Active RN License – Single State (GA) or RN Compact
- BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA or Red Cross accepted)
🧠 Experience Requirements
- 2+ years of direct patient care experience (required)
- 1+ year experience in a physician practice setting (preferred)
- 1+ year experience in virtual care, telehealth, or remote nursing (preferred)
