Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a contract assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility. The PTA will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to help residents improve mobility, strength, and functional independence through individualized therapy programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility training
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and mobility techniques
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to rehabilitation protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active state Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license (must be current)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
• Strong communication and patient care skills
