Role Overview
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs tests for patient diagnosis, progress or deterioration and medical research. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and gives radiopharmaceuticals to patients when indicated and uses high-level imaging equipment to record images of the radioactive material in the patient’s body. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works in collaboration with physicians to provide the images for interpretation to study and diagnose a medical condition. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist gives doses of radiation to patients internally to treat various medical conditions when prescribed by a physician.
Requirements
-No local candidates within 50 miles
-Schedule 9a-530pm - 1 night of call per week and 1 weekend every 5-6 weeks.
-Min of 2 years of experience within specialty.
-Required BLS
