Requirements:
2+ Yrs. of exp. required.
ARDMS, ARDMS RDCS AE, BLS, call out which cert they have, CCI, CCI RCS
CCI RCCS preferred.
Trauma Level I, Trauma Level II Required.
Epic Preferred.
Description:
Days, 8-hr shifts, Monday - Friday variable shift start times between 7AM, 7:30AM, 8:00AM, 8:30AM, 9:00AM. Rotation on weekends to support coverage 8:00AM - 4:30PM. Occasional call may be requested.
Licensure and Certification:
Registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS).
BLS – must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY
Education:
Graduate of an ultrasonography program required
Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited ultrasonography training program preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Ultrasonography, Radiology, Biological Sciences or a relevant health sciences field preferred
We are seeking a Cardiac Sonographer:
The Cardiac Sonographer independently performs professional level assessments and a variety of non-invasive studies using ultrasound and related diagnostic technology as appropriate and records the results and clinical preliminary impressions as indicated. The results of these exams are used to direct the course of patient care. The sonographer uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to evaluate anatomical, pathological, diagnostic disease processes.
The sonographer assists with transthoracic echo, transesophageal and stress testing; dobutamine, treadmill exercise stress echo and carotid duplex. The sonographer communicates preliminary impressions of examination results to reading and supervising physicians. All examinations are performed within standard protocols on adults and geriatric patients, and occasionally on adolescents and pediatric age groups. The sonographer performs examinations using both stationary and portable equipment.
The sonographer serves as a clinical instructor for the UW School of Ultrasound, and participates in the instruction of fellows, residents, and visiting physicians. The sonographer may also participate in clinical research, and acts as a clinical resource to staff at their own facility and throughout the system.

Traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles from assigned primary work site location.
Floating - Travelers are the first to float.?Depending on the current staffing needs,?the traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units and/or at different locations within the organization. During the traveler’s assignment, if the primary department no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another department in order to complete the contract.
