MSN Nurse Educator – Med Surg (Contract to Hire)

Location: Norfolk, VA
Job Type: 12-Week Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Full-time, with flexible hours to support clinical, lab, and simulation sessions. Exact hours and days will be arranged during the interview process to match your availability with the clinical, lab, and simulation schedule. Part-time arrangements can also be discussed.

Alto Healthcare Staffing is seeking an MSN Nurse Faculty with a medical-surgical specialty to teach clinical, lab, and simulation experiences across multiple student levels (Foundations through Capstone). You will mentor and evaluate nursing students while collaborating with faculty to ensure a high-quality learning experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Teach clinical, lab, and simulation experiences in medical-surgical nursing across multiple student levels (Foundations through Capstone)
  • Mentor and evaluate nursing students, providing timely and constructive feedback
  • Lead pre- and post-clinical discussions to reinforce course objectives and learning outcomes
  • Collaborate with faculty and clinical staff to ensure quality and compliance
  • Develop and implement individualized remediation plans for students as needed

What we're looking for:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required
  • Active, unencumbered RN license in Virginia (or multistate privilege)
  • Med-surg clinical experience preferred
  • Previous teaching or clinical instruction experience preferred
