Description

The Registered Nurse I/RN I assumes principle responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all Emergency Department patients.

•Additionally, the Registered Nurse I/ RN I initiates patient teaching and educates the family or significant other to attain optimal health.
•The Registered Nurse I/ RN I uses effective verbal and written skills to communicate with people on all levels and maintains positive working relationships with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians.
•The Registered Nurse I/ RN I continues in a mentor relationship with a designated RN, and works toward independent practice and growth educationally in the Emergency Department.

Shift: Nights

Hours: 1900-0730

•California Registered Nurse/RN License
•BLS/CPR
•Basic Computer Skills
•ACLS within three (3) months of hire
•PALS within three (3) months of hire
•MICN (after one year of employment as an RN)
•ED Triage Course (after one year of employment as an RN)
•AB-508 Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within six (6) months of hire
