GI Lab Registered Nurse – Abilene, TX

Overview

We are seeking an experienced GI Lab Registered Nurse to support advanced endoscopy services in Abilene, Texas. This role requires strong procedural competency, the ability to assist and circulate during complex GI interventions, and comfort working in a fast‑paced outpatient procedural environment. Travel experience is preferred.

Shift: Day shift, 5×8 hours (07:00–15:30)
Call: Required
Charting: Sunrise

Required Certifications

BLS
ACLS
PALS

Required Experience

Advanced GI procedure experience, including:
- ERCP
- PEG placement
- EUS
- Spyglass
- FNA/FNB
- Capsule endoscopy
- Bronchoscopy
- EBUS
Ability to assist or circulate during advanced procedures
Experience with moderate sedation and pain management preferred
Travel nursing experience preferred

Role Responsibilities

Provide high‑quality nursing care in an advanced GI procedural setting
Assist and circulate during complex endoscopic and bronchoscopic procedures
Monitor patients pre‑, intra‑, and post‑procedure
Administer and monitor moderate sedation per protocol
Collaborate with gastroenterologists, pulmonologists, anesthesia, and procedural teams
Maintain accurate documentation within Sunrise
Participate in call rotation as scheduled
