Description

Requirement:

Minimum of two (2) years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in an acute care setting.
Demonstrates proper, secure documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Must be able to operate the following equipment/machines:

Blood pressure machines
Pulse oximetry
Wheelchairs
Walkers
Other pertinent assistive devices

Required Education

Graduate of a four-year bachelor’s degree approved Physical Therapy Program.
Acute Care Therapists and Therapy Assistants.

Required Certification / Licensure

Permanent or Temporary Physical Therapist License issued by the Mississippi State Board of Physical Therapy.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional Details:

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30 min lunch)
One full weekend per month.
Epic charting.
Patient volume - 7-9, primarily evaluations.
PT's cover all acute care units and may float to Ortho Institute (elective hip, knee and spine surgeries occur).
Classified as acute care but functions similar to a surgery center.
