Job Opportunity: MRI Technician (Travel)

Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Employment Type: Clinical - Allied - Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position patient on examining table and place specified coil (e.g., head coil, knee coil) close to area of interest, following Radiologist protocols
• Use microphone system to communicate with patient during examination
• Enter patient data, scan details, and positioning information into MRI equipment computer
• Operate key commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters/receivers
• Monitor patient safety and comfort through control room window and closed circuit TV
• Review images on video display to ensure quality
• Photograph images using camera keyboard
• Alert staff about metal hazards in magnet room
• Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

• Experience: 3 years MRI Technician experience (higher value between 1-3 years specified)
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Graduate of Accredited Radiology Program
  • NJ State RT License
  • MR Certification
  • BLS Certification
• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
• Ability to read and interpret documents
