Travel Nurse RN - MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit

MICU / CCU  RN

Shift:

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 3 x 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required as needed based on unit needs
• No on-call requirement

Float Requirement:

• Required to float to like ICUs

Experience Requirements:

• Required: Minimum 3 years of ICU experience
• Preferred: 5 years of ICU experience

Required Skills (High-Acuity Critical Care):

• Complex critical care at CCRN level
• High-acuity patient management
• Mechanical ventilation
• Complex vasopressors
• Sedation/paralytics with strong understanding of sedation and spontaneous breathing trials
• Arterial lines
• Swan-Ganz catheter monitoring
• Phlebotomy and arterial blood gas (ABG) specimen collection
• Central line management and strong peripheral IV access skills
• Chest tube management
• Bladder management / straight catheterization
• CRRT

Preferred Skills:

• Balloon pump experience
• Impella experience
• CCRN certification (highly recommended/preferred)

• Schedule based on unit needs
• Block schedules or special requests cannot be guaranteed
