Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or higher
• Valid Colorado teaching license with a Special Education Generalist endorsement
• Understanding/interpreting educational assessments and prescriptive teaching
• Experience with toileting needs, wheelchairs, seizure disorders, and other physical disabilities preferred
• Experience working with students that demonstrate complex, sometimes aggressive behaviors preferred.
• Training emphasis in all disabilities preferred. 

Role Overview:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will support students with diverse learning needs by creating inclusive and personalized educational plans that help them thrive both academically and emotionally. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Job Details:   

• Schedule: Monday- Friday
• Dates:  ASAP-mid June 2026
• In-person only
• Up to $50 per hour 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Accommodate, modify and adapt lessons and curriculum as needed to meet individual student needs and IEP Goals
• Support in the facilitation of IEP meetings as well as development of the IEP
• Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the developmental levels and interests of their students
• Set and communicate clear expectations for classroom behavior and school environment by applying positive reinforcement and/or behavior modification techniques as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of student behavior intervention plans
